Which yacht is right for you

01

Sailing yachts & catamarans

Quiet, stable and close to the water. Catamarans offer generous space for families.

02

Motor yachts

Speed and range to see more in a week — a new bay or island every day.

03

Superyachts

Larger crews, beach clubs, spa and water toys — a private resort at sea.

04

Day charters

A day on the water during a hotel or villa stay — lunch in a bay, back by sunset.

TRANSPARENT PRICING

What a charter fee includes

Yacht charters are priced in a way that surprises many first-time guests. We explain every line before you sign.

Charter fee

The weekly rate for the yacht and her crew, including insurance of the yacht.

APA

Advance Provisioning Allowance — usually around 30% of the charter fee, paid in advance to cover fuel, food, drinks and marina fees. Fully accounted for at the end; any balance is returned.

VAT

Depends on the country where the charter starts and the waters it cruises. We confirm the applicable rate in every proposal.

Crew gratuity

At your discretion, customarily given to the captain at the end of the charter.

How a charter works

01

Your brief

Dates, region, number of guests, budget and how you like to spend your days.

02

A shortlist

Three to five yachts that fit, with layouts, crew profiles and honest notes.

03

The contract

An industry-standard charter agreement, typically MYBA terms, with a deposit on signing.

04

Preferences

Menus, wines, allergies, water toys and itinerary ideas shared with the captain and chef.

05

Flights and transfers to the quay arranged — you simply step aboard.

Questions about yacht charter

How far ahead should we book?

For July and August in the Mediterranean, the best yachts are often reserved six months or more in advance. Shoulder season and last-minute availability do exist — ask us.

How many guests can a yacht take?

Most charter yachts accommodate up to 12 guests overnight, whatever their size. Larger groups can travel on two yachts together or join for the day.

Can we choose the itinerary?

Yes. You share your wishes, the captain proposes a route, and it adapts day by day to the weather and to your mood.

Are children welcome on board?

Very much so. Many yachts have family-friendly crews, safety equipment for children and plenty of water toys.

Who is responsible for the yacht?

The yacht is operated by her owner's management and professional crew. Xalibur Travel acts as your charter broker: we select the yacht, negotiate the terms and stay by your side from enquiry to disembarkation.
